Update July 2020

Update June 2020

Update March 31, 2020

Family Medical Center of Hastings knows that you are concerned about the Corona Virus that is affecting all of us.  You may even have concerns and wonder if it is safe to come to the doctor’s office.  Please know that we are working very close with the Department of Health and Human Services along with our local medical community in the Hastings area to keep up to date on how to keep our patients safe.

We have implemented new scheduling times for us to see those patients that need to be seen for regular check-ups, lab visits and wellness visits vs. those that are experiencing illnesses such as coughs, fevers, etc.

We strongly recommend that you call our office at 402-463-2423 so we can decide which time is best for you to enter our office so we can take the necessary precautions to keep everyone safe.  We have a very good screening tool to help us during this time along with nurses available to take phone calls from patients with medical questions.

To decrease the flow of traffic in our office, we ask those of you that are symptomatic with a fever, cough, difficulty breathing or recent travels who may think they have the Corona Virus to call us from your vehicle when you arrive.  We have a designated parking area on the north side of our parking lot.  It is reserved by an orange sign with a stall number for you to help us identify where you are at  so we can help you enter the building safely for yourself and others.

Family Medical Center of Hastings has intensified our housekeeping and infection control procedures.  We are continuing to sanitize all workspaces and patient care spaces on a consistent basis.  We have minimized traffic in the clinic to be able to ensure patients have their own space when completing paperwork and waiting to see a provider.  We have continued to be diligent about the use of hand sanitizer and have asked all patients and family members to wash hands and/or sanitize hands right when they walk into the clinic as well as when they leave the clinic.  Temperatures are being taken on anyone who walks through our doors also.

Family Medical Center of Hastings can test you for COVID-19.  We must follow the guidelines given to us by the Department of Health and Human Services.  If a patient meets the criteria, we can perform a test on a patient for COVID-19 and send it out to a specialty lab for results.

We also strongly recommend that you avoid an unnecessary visit to our office for billing purposes.  Please call us if you have questions.  Your options to pay your account include mailing a check, sending us your credit card information with your payment stub, or making a payment over the phone.  Our business office phone number is 402-462-8456.

Our providers strongly recommend that you still come in or use our new service "Telehealth" for your office visit for conditions of congestive heart failure, diabetes and high blood pressure checks, etc.  This is just as important to ensure that you stay healthy during this time of Corona Virus Outbreak that we are experiencing throughout the United States.

We know that during this time there can be some confusion and concern about the unknown and how this virus will affect you and your loved ones.  We at Family Medical Center of Hastings have provided care to families in the Hastings area and surrounding communities for nearly 60 years.  We are honored to have your trust and are committed to continue high quality health care through this pandemic for all your health care needs.

Thank you for your understanding, trust and patience as we continue to move towards the latest and most up to date advice and plan.
