Mackenzie J. Hemje, M.D.
Dr. Hemje graduated from Adams Central High School in 2006, received his Bachelor of Arts in biology with high distinction from Hastings College in 2010 and his M.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine in 2014. He completed his family medicine residency in the Lincoln Family Medicine Program in 2017.
He chose to become a family physician because it covers the full spectrum of ages. He particularly enjoys pediatric care but also enjoys geriatric care.
He and his wife, Jillian, are both Hastings natives. They have three children, Pierce, Baker, and Kellen.
An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Hemje enjoys hunting, fishing, archery, and golf.
