National Doctor's Day

March 30th is officially considered National Doctor's Day. It is a day dedicated to recognize the service that our physicians provide to help others that are in need.

Family Medical Center of Hastings was established in Hastings in 1955 by Dr. George Hoffmeister. With his offices originally located in the Foote Building (near the City Auditorium), Dr. Hoffmeister was joined by Drs. Gerald Holcomb and Robert Mastin in 1963 when they opened their new office building at the present location of 1021 W 14th Street.

Over the years the founding physicians retired, and today the practice is comprised of James Miller, M.D. and Kevin Wycoff, M.D. who joined the practice in 1978, Curtis Reimer, M.D., a family physician with expertise in sports medicine who joined the group in September, 1996. Timothy Zimmerman, M.D. joined the clinic in 2000 and David Schram, M.D. joined the clinic in 2003. Logan Pritchard, D.O. joined in August 2010.  Mackenzie Hemje, M.D. joined our practice in August 2017.  The group also employs two nurse practitioners:  Brenda Nunley, APRN and Tamaka Gangwish, APRN.
