Telehealth

The way we practice medicine is continually changing.  Family Medical Center of Hastings is excited to announce that we are now offering a new way for you to have an office visit with your medical provider without even having to step foot in the doctor’s office. 

Family Medical Center of Hastings is now using “Telehealth” to take care of their patients.  “Telehealth” or “e-health” allows our providers to evaluate, diagnosis and treat our patients from the comfort of your own home using telecommunications technology.  You will no longer have to travel to the doctor’s office for all your medical visits.  Please note, “Telehealth” is designed to handle non-emergency medical issues.

How is this done?  You simply call our office and schedule a time for our providers to contact you to visit with you using a cell phone, laptop, or any apple or android device that has a microphone and camera on it.  A nurse will call you 30 minutes prior to your appointment time to obtain information from you.  We will then send you a “link” to click on to initiate your visit when your provider is ready to see you.

We will be using “Telehealth” for some of the following medical conditions:

·         Acne                                                     

·         Allergies

·         Constipation

·         Cough

·         Diarrhea

·         Ear problems

·         Flu

·         Headache

·         Insect bites

·         Nausea

·         Pink eye

·         Rash

·         Sore throats

·         Vomiting

·         And more

There are many advantages of us using “Telehealth”.  It provides easier access to health care for those that live in remote places, those that are homebound, reduces the amount of time that you would spend waiting in the waiting room, plus many more advantages.
